PurrVella Boarding FAQs
What’s included with every boarding stay?
Every stay includes a private suite, daily feeding and water refresh, litter cleaning, and one daily care visit (play, enrichment, or calm interaction tailored to your cat).
When can I drop off and pick up my cat?
Drop-off and pick-up are by appointment Monday–Saturday between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Standard check-in and check-out appointments are scheduled between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM.
How does nightly pricing work?
Boarding is charged by the night, similar to a hotel. Check-out is scheduled in the morning window to keep departures smooth and the environment calm.
Can I pick up later than 12:00 PM?
Late check-out (12:00–5:00 PM) may be available when scheduling allows and includes a $20 flat fee. Pick-ups after 5:00 PM are billed as an additional night.
Are you open on Sundays or holidays?
Cats are cared for every day of the year. However, check-in and check-out are not available on Sundays or select holidays.
Are there any peak rate prices?
Yes. During select summer and holiday periods, small nightly surcharges apply by suite type. A 3-night minimum stay applies during November–December peak dates.
What vaccinations are required?
Rabies and FVRCP are required (or a veterinary exemption). Please have up to date records updated and submited 7 days prior to check-in.
My cat is 10+ years old—can they stay?
Yes. We require a veterinary boarding release for senior cats and may request verification of recent bloodwork based on your cat’s age and health history.
Do you administer medications?
We administer oral & topical prescription medications for $3-$5 per administration. We do not administer injections or subcutaneous fluids. Medications are administered between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM and must arrive in original, labeled containers.
What should I bring?
Please bring enough of your cat’s food for the full stay. You’re welcome to bring comfort items like a familiar blanket or toy.
What should I not bring?
Please do not bring water fountains, personal food bowls, automatic feeders, nor play towers. We provide all of these and want to minimize loss of space, mistracking of feedings and water intake.
Do cats need to arrive in a carrier?
Yes—each cat must arrive in a secure individual carrier (no cardboard boxes, no shared carriers). Carriers will remain on site with your pet until pickup.
Can I check in on my cat while they’re boarding?
Yes. Cat Cam access may be available, and optional photo/text updates can be added to your stay.
What is the Expandable Suite?
It’s an optional upgrade that opens two connected suites into one larger private space—great for longer stays and cats who enjoy more room.
