Terms & Conditions
Thank you for choosing PurrVella, a cat-exclusive boarding experience by Mitten’s Pets.
Our policies are designed to protect your cat’s well-being, maintain a calm environment, and ensure consistent care.
Booking a reservation confirms acceptance of the following:
Health & Eligibility

We reserve the right to decline boarding for cats with serious health concerns or care needs beyond our scope.

Cats over six months of age must be spayed or neutered.

Cats showing signs of illness (e.g., sneezing, discharge, lethargy) cannot be admitted.
Vaccinations (Required)
All guests must be current on:

Rabies (or veterinary exemption)
-
FVRCP (within the last 3 years or veterinary exemption)
Proof of vaccination must be submitted prior to check-in.
Senior Cats (10+ years):
A veterinary boarding release is required. If bloodwork has not been completed within the past two years, verification is also required.
Flea & Coat Policy

All cats must be on flea prevention.

Cats arriving with fleas will be treated at the owner’s expense.

Cats with significant matting must be groomed for comfort or alternative boarding arrangements must be made.
Medical Care
Owners are financially responsible for all veterinary care.
In the event of illness or emergency:

We will seek veterinary attention as needed.

If the owner cannot be reached, veterinary recommendations will be followed.
Medication Administration

Prescription topical or oral medication: $3-$5 per administration

Medications must be provided in original containers with veterinary instructions

Oral medications must have an adminstration tool such as a pill popper
-
Medications are administered between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM only
We do not administer:

Injections
-
Subcutaneous fluids
If your cat requires time-sensitive, injectable, or life-sustaining medications, we recommend boarding with your veterinarian or an in-home medical sitter.
What to Bring
Required

Enough food for the entire stay (packaging no bigger than 14in tall x14in wide x14in deep)

Food pickup and travel($10) will be charged at the end of the stay if not enough provided.
Optional

Familiar bedding, blankets, or toys
(comfort items are encouraged)
What Not to Bring

Transportation

Cats must arrive in secure individual carriers.

No cardboard boxes or shared carriers.

A carrier fee will apply if a suitable carrier is not provided.
Check-In & Check-Out
Boarding Access Hours

8:00 AM – 5:00 PM -
We schedule arrivals and departures intentionally to maintain a calm environment for our cats and team.
Check-In Window
-
8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
-
This allows your cat time to settle, eat, and decompress on arrival day.
Check-Out Window
-
8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
-
Departures within this window do not incur an additional nightly charge.
Late Check-Out (When Available)

12:00 PM – 5:00 PM
-
Late check-outs may be accommodated based on staffing and availability and are billed as:

$20 Late Check-Out Fee (flat)
-
After 5:00 PM = an additional night is charged.

This is much cleaner than per-minute penalties and feels more premium.
How Nights Are Counted
-
Boarding is charged by the night, similar to a hotel.
-
Check-in: Morning of Day 1
-
Check-out: By 12:00 PM on final day
-
Late check-outs extend the stay.
Sundays & Holidays
-
While cats are cared for every day of the year, check-in and check-out are not available on Sundays or select holidays.
Reservations & Payments

A valid credit card is required to hold all reservations
-
50% deposit required to confirm booking
-
Balance due at check-in
Deposits are refundable with 7+ days’ notice.
Deposits become non-refundable within 7 days of arrival.
Early departures do not qualify for refunds.
Minimum Stays & Peak Seasons
Peak season surcharges apply during designated periods.
Peak Season Dates

December 20 – January 10
A 3-night minimum stay applies during November and December peak dates.
Media & Property

Personal items are brought at owner’s risk

PurrVella may photograph or record guests for promotional use
Visitors
Approved visitors are permitted with prior notice and completed authorization.
